Using OrionPDF

OrionPDF is a browser-based PDF editor. By opening the editor or using the website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The free trial

Stargazer (the free tier) lets you open and edit one document with the core toolset, without signing up. The limit is enforced both by your browser and, as a secondary check, by device/network — attempting to bypass it (e.g. to repeatedly claim new trials) is against these terms.

Premium purchases & license keys

• Premium is billed at the price shown at checkout, processed by Stripe. OrionPDF never sees or stores your payment card details.
• A license key or signed-in Premium account is intended for one person, used on a reasonable number of personal devices — we don't technically enforce a hard device cap, and ask that you use good judgment rather than share a key publicly.
• Enterprise keys are licensed per seat, as agreed at purchase.

Refunds

Premium purchases can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked — email the support address below with your purchase email or license key.

Honest limits

OrionPDF is upfront about what it can't yet do:

• Password-protected or encrypted PDFs cannot currently be opened or created.
• "Edit Text" and "Find & Replace" work by covering the original text and placing new text over it — the file is not re-typeset.
• Very large PDFs (500 MB+) are limited by your browser's available memory.
• License validation is client-side deterrence, not copy protection — appropriate for a low-cost product, but not unbreakable DRM.

No warranty

OrionPDF is provided "as is." While we take reasonable care, we can't guarantee the software is error-free or fit for every purpose. Keep backups of important documents, as you should with any editing tool.

Acceptable use

Don't use OrionPDF to process documents you don't have the right to possess, to circumvent the trial or licensing mechanisms in bad faith, or to attempt to disrupt or overload the service's infrastructure.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
